The soul of the twentieth century sculptures, paintings, drawings
Sculptures, paintings and drawings by Alberto Giacometti, coming mainly from the private collection of the heirs , never before exhibited in Europe in its entirety since it left the artist's Paris studio, one of the icons of the twentieth century. Other loans instead of Yum come from Rome and from an important private collection. The MAGA
Gallarate houses the works of Giacometti from March 5 to June 5 , in an exhibition organized and produced by the Foundation Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art Silvio Zanella, chaired by Angelo Crespi, under the direction of Emma Zanella.
The exhibition is curated by Michael Peppiatt , author of "In Giacometti's Studio", a book which documents the survey carried out by him in the archive of one of the first unexplored branch of the family, recognition that is the basis of this valuable event.
The selected works cover the entire course of Giacometti's artistic research, although many aspects of the exhibition Giacometti point towards a close, as expected from a collection owned by the same family Giacometti.

On this occasion, MAGA, in collaboration with Electa, publishes a precious box containing the Italian translation of the book by Michael Peppiatt In the study by Giacometti and the complete catalog of the works on display cards with critical Casimiro Di Crescenzo.
In addition, an unpublished short story sound will follow the audience to visit the show by putting it in direct contact with the art world. The Maga, in collaboration with Storyville, has created and produced the very interesting audio guides in which the voice of Alberto Giacometti, through a series of excerpts from interviews, to explain the works and the whole show.
