The search for Masaki Asakawa moves out of the car as a symbol of the contradictions of contemporary life, provocative element from which to invent new visual balance. He deconstructs the familiar objects of our urban life and created juxtapositions piecemeal and serial pattern on the surface with an original and dynamic. The construction of the image takes possession of the typical elements of design and this multiple perspective played a decisive role in his vision. The chaos of the city during peak hours is more inspiration the work of Masaki, a chaos which is then sorted on the accuracy and precision of his technique. The forms are hooked to each other to define an unusual object structure that emerges as the personification of a language accumulative. The object, as expressed in its long duration space and in its infinity, is lived in size to become dynamic and requires the artist to translate their plastically metamorphosis.

The exhibition consists of ten works carried out with a personal technique that combines digital photography with acrylic paint on wood.
Masaki Asakawa was born in Tokyo in 1963. He worked as a graphic designer for Honda Motor Ltd. and Microsoft Corporation Japan. Since 2002 he is associate professor at Yokohama College of Art and Design. Masaki Asakawa has recently exhibited his works by Onishi Gallery in New York City.
