Nicolas Pallavicini

Praxis - Mimesis
The Gallery is Tiziana Di Caro happy to present the second solo show by Nicolas
Pallavicini, called Praxis - Mimesis, which opens Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 19:00.
The exhibition includes a new series of paintings of different sizes, all dating from the
2010 and 2011, when the Argentine painter has devoted himself to philosophical reflection that eludes
theoretical experience pure and absolute, to pour forth the technical and formal.

Comparison with the theme of the landscape that had characterized its production as
formally diverse, from 2005 to 2009, now lies to make way for a total deconstruction
shape, fragmentation of the idea, which develops backgrounds in solemn
but apparently disorganized, while solid, but only hinted at, which include a
rupture, which had already occurred within the project Reverse, who had seen him
protagonist in his first exhibition at the gallery in 2009, but here seems to want to consolidate. In

Praxis - Mimesis: the idea that the painter pursues and develops is that of "catastrophe"
linked to the thought of Gilles Deleuze, which occurs mainly in the formal sense, rather than intellectual.
The most intellectual properly becomes an excuse to talk about poor facilities,
demolished by uncontrollable force, which is the power of "painting" itself, as a means of expression
. Praxis - Mimesis, in fact, refers to the modus operandi, which is the
repeal of all the cliches that make up the pictorial universe. Quoting Paul Klee and his
"Gray Point" Pallavicini is at the boundary between "becoming and fading", between "being and nothingness,"
crossing a whole new dimension of His painting, a dimension in which the act of painting
and freedom of being able to manage play a major role, and end up
reflect the emptiness that exists in our society that is now bordering on chaos and madness.

Nicolas Pallavicini was born in Buenos Aires in 1976. He lives and works in Monaco of Bavaria (Germany).
From 2000 he worked with the independent research group "Complot System", which took part in numerous international events
, including two of the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2006 and 2008, and held
and organized conferences and debates. In 2005 he was invited by "factory Berlin", in German capital, developing the piece
"painting lessons at Tora Bora" by the dancer and performer Iker Filomarino.
He participated in the exhibition "Latin Sunset", invited by Antonio Arevalo, a side event at the 51st Venice Biennale
. In 2006 he was selected by the JHA for the exhibition "Art & South" in Sicily. Dates back to 2007
his first solo exhibition in a public space, "Anatomy of the Landscape," which was held at "Centro Cultural Borges"
of Buenos Aires. "Reverse" was instead, in 2009, his first solo exhibition at the Gallery Tiziana Di Caro.
In 2010 it was reported, on the pages of the magazine Arte al Dia International, among the 60 most promising Latin American artists.
